Certain condition on the second fundamental form of CR submanifolds of maximal CR dimension of complex Euclidean space 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We treat m-dimensional real submanifolds M of complex space forms ̿M when the maximal holomorphic tangent subspace is (m−1)-dimensional. On these manifolds there exists an almost contact structure F which is naturally induced from the ambient space and in this paper we study the condition h(FX,Y)−h(X,FY) = g(FX,Y)η, η∊ T⊥(M), on the structure F and on the second fundamental form h of these submanifolds. The paper deals with an epi-convergence of random real functions defined on a topological space. We follow the idea due to
Vogel (1994) to split the epi-convergence into the lower semicontinuous approximation and the epi-upper approximation and
localize them onto a given set. The approximations are shown to be connected to the miss- resp. hit-part of the ordinary Fell
topology on sets. We introduce two procedures, called “localization”, separately for the miss-topology and the hit-topology
on sets. Localization of the miss- resp. hit-part of the Fell topology on sets allows us to give a suggestion how to define
the approximations in probability and in distribution. It is shown in the paper that in case of the finite-dimensional Euclidean
space, the suggested approximations in probability coincide with the definition from Vogel and Lachout (2003).

P. Shumyatsky’s question 11.126 in the “Kourovka Notebook” is answered in the affirmative: it is proved that there exist a
constant c and a function of a positive integer argument f(m) such that if a finite group G admits an automorphism ϕ of order
4 having exactly m fixed points, then G has a normal series G ⩾ H ⩽ N such that |G/H| ⩽ f(m), the quotient group H/N is nilpotent
of class ⩽ 2, and the subgroup N is nilpotent of class ⩽ c (Thm. 1). As a corollary we show that if a locally finite group
G contains an element of order 4 with finite centralizer of order m, then G has the same kind of a series as in Theorem 1.
Theorem 1 generalizes Kovács’ theorem on locally finite groups with a regular automorphism of order 4, whereby such groups
are center-by-metabelian. Earlier, the first author proved that a finite 2-group with an almost regular automorphism of order
4 is almost center-by-metabelian. The proof of Theorem 1 is based on the authors’ previous works dealing in Lie rings with
an almost regular automorphism of order 4. Reduction to nilpotent groups is carried out by using Hall-Higman type theorems.
The proof also uses Theorem 2, which is of independent interest, stating that if a finite group S contains a nilpotent subgroup
T of class c and index |S: T | = n, then S contains also a characteristic nilpotent subgroup of class ⩽ c whose index is bounded
in terms of n and c. Previously, such an assertion has been known for Abelian subgroups, that is, for c = 1.

A graph is called almost self-complementary if it is isomorphic to one of its almost complements Xc-I, where Xc denotes the complement of X and I a perfect matching (1-factor) in Xc. Almost self-complementary circulant graphs were first studied by Dobson and Šajna [Almost self-complementary circulant graphs, Discrete Math. 278 (2004) 23-44]. In this paper we investigate some of the properties and constructions of general almost self-complementary graphs. In particular, we give necessary and sufficient conditions on the order of an almost self-complementary regular graph, and construct infinite families of almost self-complementary regular graphs, almost self-complementary vertex-transitive graphs, and non-cyclically almost self-complementary circulant graphs. 相似文献
